We invite you to join us for a powerful recorded presentation by Dr. Shannon Eaves, Associate Professor of History at the College of Charleston, during the 28th Annual Middle Passage Remembrance Ceremony.
Dr. Eaves is an Associate Professor of History at the College. Her presentation, titled “The Second Middle Passage: An Exploration of the Domestic Slave Trade in the U.S.”, offers a moving and insightful look into the forced migration of enslaved people within the United States (aka the “Internal” or “Domestic” Slave Trade) a lesser-known but deeply impactful chapter of American history.
Don’t miss watching this important educational moment as part of our day of reflection, remembrance, and cultural celebration. We look forward to seeing you all today @ 10:30 am!
